Multiway Valves

Vimatic new plastic multiway valves, due to their interconnecting facility, are particularly suitable to quickly assemble logic circuits, even complex ones. These valves have an open conduict on one side (1) and three conduicts (2-3-4) on the other which can be open (according to requirements) also by the final user. As the valve is symmetrical, the conduicts can be used both as inlet and outlet. Hence it is possible to assemble dosage systems for liquid and corrosive substances without using external manifolds but simply using the supplied special grease nipples. Solvent welding connections are still available. Thanks to these characteristics, plus the air joint on the head, the valves are suitable for the line assembly so to minimize the overall dimensions. All the utilised materials are high quality. The inner diaphragms can be modified depending on the liquid to be intercepted. In this way we can guarantee reliability in time. Every valve is checked and duly tested in each productive phase so as to ensure a total lack of leakages.

 

 

BASICS CHARACTERISTICS

    1.    Materials:  plastic material.
    2.    Temperature range:  up to 50° C.
    3.    Scale:  N.C. (Normally Closed).
    4.    Working pressure:  up to 10 bar (145 psi).
    5.    Control air pressure:  from 4 to 6 standard bar (from 58 to 87 psi) adjustable pressure on demand.
    6.    Connections:  diameter 16 either solvent welding type or barrel nipples with OR, way no. 1 open, ways 2-3-4 can be opend on demand.
    7.    Diaphragms:  EPDM, PTFE with EPDM, FPM, VMQ.
    8.    Air connector of pneumatic actuator:  1/8" G female.
    9.    Open/Closed indicator:  visible.
    10.    Valve fastening:  with M5 screws.
    11.    Occupied area:  suitable for line assembly (center to center distance 60 mm).
    12.    Maximum size in mm:  57 x 52 x 83 (h).

 

 

MULTIWAY CONNECTIONS

As you can see below (first picture on the left) the multiway valve's STANDARD support has a conduict (1) which is always open and three other closed conduicts (2-3-4), that may be eventually opened by request. We can, for example, open a conduict (2) as it is in the B type support. We obtain, in this way, a flux with the fluid's entry and exit aligned, as it happens in traditional valves. As a further example, the image shows the F type: conduicts 2 and 4 are open so as to obtain a flux indicated, in this case, by the red arrow. (the direction of the arrows can be reversed).

It's important to point out that every conduict can be used both as inlet and outlet.

 

 

 

 

 

PERFORATION TYPE SCHEME

Looking at the scheme below and excluding the standard type, in which conduicts 2-3-4 are closed, the opening combinations are seven (A-B-C-D-E-F-G). This allows to connect all the valves among them obtaining different "logic" circuits without using manifolds and by containing the occupied space.
